Giants Causeway
In November 1986 the Giant’s Causeway received major recognition when it was announced as Ireland’s first World Heritage Site. The Causeway now boasts around 500,000 visitors per year from all around the world.
This geological phenomenon, renowned for its columns of layered basalt, sits in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the North Antrim Coast. Owned by the conservation charity The National Trust and Ireland’s first World Heritage Site, it makes for a fabulous visit from Belfast
Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge
After walking along the beautiful coast path, you will find yourself confronted by an amazing rope bridge, which crosses a 30m deep and 20m wide chasm to the tiny Carrick Island.
Originally a practical link to allow fishermen access to Carrick Island, in order to catch salmon as they
migrated west around the island, the bridge is now a seasonal challenge for the intrepid visitor
Bushmills Whiskey Distillery
The 'Old Bushmills' Distillery is the World's Oldest Licensed Whiskey Distillery. King James I granted the original license in April 1608 and Bushmills has been making the finest Irish Malt Whiskey here for almost four hundred years.
